Blackberry Sour

This twist on a sour features blackberry moonshine balanced by tart lemon and bright blood orange. A touch of blackberry syrup amplifies the berry flavors. Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vintage Shine Blackberry Moonshine
  • 1 oz blackberry syrup
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 oz blood orange sour mix or regular sour mix
  • Blackberries and orange wheel for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  2. Add the blackberry moonshine, blackberry syrup, lemon juice, and sour mix.
  3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with blackberries and a blood orange wheel (or regular orange).

Notes

  • Adjust syrups and juices to taste preference.
  • Substitute raspberry syrup for the blackberry.
  • Use cranberry juice for a variation on the sour mix.
  • Rim glass with blackberry moonshine soaked sugar for extra flair.
